City of Miramar goes to 4 day work week By James Becher The government office of The City of Miramar, in Maramar Florida has just gone to a 4 day work week (or as some like to put it, a 3 day weekend). This means longer work days but fewer of them. The full time employess will still get their 40 hours but will have to work more hours per day. Some part time employees may loose a few hours from their regular hours and will also have to end up working longer work days than usual. Why is the city doing this? To cut down on the operating costs of keeping the place open 5 days a week, since it is usually kept open after 5pm anyway. Some employees like the idea of the 3 day weekend, but some don't like the longer working days. There's always a pay off for every benifit.
